HAVN is a hydrotherapy experience set on a repurposed ship overlooking Victoria’s inner Harbour. The guiding typography and materiality is inspired by the barge’s historical utilitarian signage. Confident, modern and bold, each piece of signage does not draw away from the ship’s design, but communicates the innovative nature of HAVN. Powder-coated steel was selected for weather durability and is a direct reference to its previous life. Circle and square, symbols of natural and urban environments, are our key visual devices in sign design, harkening to the use of circular and square forms central to the experience’s industrial design.

HAVN’s wayfinding design took place entirely remote from concept to detailed specifications for custom signage.
